Kyrgyzstan demands explanation from Russian ambassador over insulted citizens

The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry summoned Russian Ambassador Sergei Vakunov and demanded an official explanation regarding the raid on Kyrgyz citizens at the Bodrost bathhouse in Moscow, the ministry's press service reported.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the ambassador was required to provide an explanation of the legal basis for the practice and the reasons for the use of force against citizens.

It was also requested that responsible officers take action if cases of unjustified use of force are confirmed.

The Kyrgyz side stressed the need to take measures to ensure that such situations do not negatively affect the alliance and strategic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, the report said.

We would like to remind you that on April 11, law enforcement agencies raided the Bodrost bathhouse complex in Moscow, a building owned by a Kyrgyz businessman.

According to the obtained videos, individuals accompanied by OMON officers stormed the area and, using heavy force, detained dozens of Kyrgyz citizens.
