Kazakhstan evacuated more than 40 citizens from Lebanon
Kazakhstan has evacuated more than 40 of its citizens from Lebanon via Istanbul and Dubai. The operation was carried out in order to protect the rights and interests of the citizens of Kazakhstan who remained in the combat zone.
Kazakhstan has evacuated more than 40 citizens from Lebanon. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
"Due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and their family members were evacuated from Lebanon by the order of the country's president Kasim-Jomart Tokaev, as well as with the support of the relevant state bodies of Kazakhstan," the ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that this operation was carried out through the cities of Istanbul and Dubai. According to information, 41 people returned safely from Beirut to Astana and Almaty from October 17 to October 31, 2024.
The evacuation was carried out in order to protect the rights and interests of the citizens of Kazakhstan who remained in the combat zone.
In early October, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged Kazakh nationals in Lebanon and Israel to contact their embassies as soon as possible.
Earlier, the spokesman of the Israel Defense Forces, Daniel Hagari, said that in the next few hours, the Israeli Air Force will launch a new series of strikes on Lebanon, including the Beirut area.
