Erdogan comments on investigation into Istanbul mayor's office

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reacted to the investigation into the Istanbul mayor's office, noting that the opposition is not responding to court lawsuits regarding corruption and other criminal cases.

"They could have conducted an examination or discussed the issue with experts to refute the allegations, but they are not doing so. Because they know the allegations are true," the President said.

Erdogan also noted that most of the documents and evidence were submitted to the court by members of the opposition (CHP), indicating the seriousness of the case.

"We do not spend time on such political spectacles. We are focused on the goals we have set for ourselves," the head of state concluded.
