Did Turkey do injustice to Mubashshir Ahmed?
On May 15, a press conference was held in Turkey by the "MazlumDer" - "Solidarity for Human Rights and the Oppressed" association. It was attended by human rights activists and public figures.
In particular, the conference was attended by Kaya Kartal, head of the MazlumDer association, Rizvan Kaya, head of the ÖzgürDer association, Ramazon Çamlija, deputy chairman of the Ezan Foundation, Uğur Yıldırım, head of the Refugee Federation, lawyer, Burhon Kavunju, representative of the Turkmen initiative team, and lawyer Umar Yuzgul.
The conference focused on the deportation of Alisher Tursunov (Mubashshir Ahmad), which is causing widespread discussion and objections in Turkey.
In particular, a representative of the MazlumDer organization emphasized that this deportation process was carried out in violation of the court decision and legal requirements. He noted that serious oversight and investigation of the activities of the Turkish Immigration Directorate are necessary.
It is noted that the court rejected the request to deport Alisher Tursunov from Turkey. However, the Turkish Immigration Department deported Tursunov to Uzbekistan without waiting for the court's decision, despite the fact that a new lawsuit was filed against him and that he was being considered in court.
Human rights activists described this situation as a violation of the law, noting that the case of Alisher Tursunov is an example of the increasing practice of unjust and unlawful treatment of refugees in Turkey.
At the end of the conference, participants emphasized that such practices by the Turkish Immigration Directorate pose a serious threat to the lives of asylum seekers and called on government agencies and the public to find a serious solution to this issue.
