Chinese company plans to build metallurgical plant in Fergana
The construction of a metallurgical plant by the Chinese company Shandong Aipurui Steel Plate Co., Ltd. is planned in the Tashlok district of the Fergana region, the press service of the Fergana regional administration reported.
The total cost of the plant is said to be over $120 million, and the project will be implemented in three phases.
The construction process will create 500 new jobs, and the first phase is scheduled to be operational in October 2025, the report said.
Investor Han Szunbai noted that the plant will produce high-quality and competitive products from recycled metal, which will be directed to the domestic market and export. Regional khokim Khairullo Bozorov said that work on this project is underway.
Shandong companies also plan to build a building materials factory and a cotton picking machine assembly center in the Dangara district of Fergana region .
