Austrian teenager converts to Islam

Austrian citizen Berner Leonard converted to Islam in a special ceremony held at the Mufti's office in Kayseri, Turkey, and took the new name "Musa Bilaleddin."

The ceremony was led by Kayseri Regional Deputy Mufti Sabir Celik, during which 23-year-old Leonard took the oath of allegiance and officially became a Muslim.

The ceremony began with a recitation of the Holy Quran. After that, Deputy Mufti Sabir Celik explained the basic principles of Islam. Leonard recited the Shahadat, completing the formal ceremony of converting to Islam.

Mufti Chelik congratulated Musa Bilaleddin and presented him with a special "Prayer Certificate" and books on the Quran and Islam.
