A treaty of eternal friendship was signed between the Central Asian countries and China

Yesterday, June 17, we reported that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was participating in the second Central Asia-China summit in Astana.

The event, chaired by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, was also attended by Chinese President Xi Jinping, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Mirziyoyev also spoke at this meeting, drawing attention to the significant deterioration of the international situation.

He noted that conflicts that cause loss and damage are rekindling, and mutual distrust between major powers is growing at the global and regional levels.
The use of force to resolve controversial international issues and conflicting problems is not justified.

"All disputes and conflicts must be resolved exclusively through diplomatic efforts - at the negotiating table - with respect for sovereignty, on the basis of international law and the Charter of the United Nations," he said.

At the end of the meeting, the heads of state signed the Astana Declaration and the Treaty on Eternal Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation.
