A criminal case has been opened in connection with an explosion at a methane gas station in Kashkadarya.

A criminal case has been initiated under Articles 205 (Abuse of power or official authority) and 259 (Violation of fire safety rules) of the Criminal Code regarding a fire at a fuel storage tank in the Kokdala district of the Kashkadarya region, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General, Hayot Shamsutdinov, reported.

It is noted that work is underway to determine the extent of the fire and the amount of damage caused, with the participation of relevant experts.

As part of the criminal case, forensic medical, forensic chemical, biological, criminalistics, and fire technical examinations were ordered to determine the origin of the fire.
