A 17-year-old boy who wanted to join ISIS and 16 of his friends were arrested in Uzbekistan
It was reported that the State Security Service of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested a 17-year-old boy and 16 of his friends who wanted to join ISIS. How can a young man who has not even finished school fall under the influence of an international terrorist organization? Is it because of ignorance or lack of control? Who is to blame for the young son of Uzbek entering this path?
It was reported that a 17-year-old boy and 16 of his acquaintances, who wanted to join the international terrorist organization of Islam and the Levant Islamic State (ISIS), were captured by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and the State Security Service.
It is noted that during the rapid investigations, KI, who was born in Tashkent region in 2007, was influenced by extremist ideas on the internet, and it was found that he and 16 close friends illegally gathered and planned to join ISIS, which is operating abroad in the future.
In connection with the situation, a criminal case was initiated under Article 244 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (Public riots).
"As a result of indifference and credulity, we call on our citizens to always be alert in order not to fall under the influence of foreign ideas through the Internet. Do not be indifferent to your fate," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a message.
A simple message for many. "He did well, he was caught in time," says the message. But watch out - a boy of school age was caught. How can he be influenced by terrorist ideas at this age? Out of ignorance or carelessness? Maybe he was ostracized by society, faced injustices and pressures. Perhaps he cannot answer the questions of who is a terrorist, what is jihad, and what is the true meaning of martyrdom.

As a society, we should look at each child as our own and try to provide them with the most necessary religious and secular knowledge in a way suitable for their youth. It is the primary duty of our state to identify young people who are under mental and physical pressure, being isolated, excluded, and beaten down, and to extend a helping hand to them in time. Because every young person who falls into the trap of international terrorist organizations is our great missed opportunity...
