West Sudan: 239 children die from hunger and lack of medicine
According to the Sudanese Doctors Network, there has been a sharp increase in child deaths in the besieged city of Al-Fasher - at least 239 children have died since January of this year.
The main reasons for this are: the siege of the city by the Rapid Reaction Forces (RSF), the humanitarian crisis, and the lack of any assistance or attention from the international community.
For your information, following the October 2021 coup, Sudan has been ruled by a council of generals, and a conflict has arisen between two of their main leaders.
One of them, General Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, is the commander-in-chief of the country's armed forces and the de facto president of the country.
The second is his deputy and commander of the Rapid Reaction Forces, General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo. Thousands of Sudanese Muslims are suffering as a result of the military war led by these two.
