Two Months War: Lebanon and Israel's Losses

The Israeli press published a comparative analysis of the damage suffered by Lebanon and Israel during the two-month war between Hezbollah and the Israeli army.

The Jerusalem Post noted that the information was based on earlier reports and that an update was awaited from the Israeli military. Although the data is approximate, it gives a general idea of both civilian and military losses on both sides.

According to the publication, Hezbollah lost 2,500 to 3,000 fighters, and Israel lost 75 soldiers. At the same time, Hezbollah remains with tens of thousands of fighters, most of whom are regular forces, despite the loss of a significant number of commanders.

Between 700 and 1,200 Lebanese were killed in air, artillery and other attacks among civilians. In Israel, the number of civilian casualties was 45.

About 15,000 rockets and 2,500 drones were fired from Lebanon at Israel. It is noted that Hezbollah's missile arsenal has been reduced from 150,000 to more than 30,000, however, this information remains speculative. Even with this reduction, Hamas stockpiles are twice as large as before the current war.

The number of Israeli attacks on Lebanon also varies according to different estimates. According to the most common information, about 14,000 air and artillery strikes were launched. From September 20 to November 26, 330 air raids were carried out on Beirut alone.

Over 60,000 Israelis and 1.2 to 1.6 million Lebanese were displaced in two months. In particular, over the past year, hundreds of thousands of residents of southern Lebanon have left their homes.

In the past two months, a third of Israelis have been hit by Hezbollah, with 2,874 civilian buildings damaged in rocket and drone attacks.
