Turkey lifts restrictions on imports of goods from Syria

The Turkish Ministry of Trade has lifted restrictions on the import of goods and products from Syrian markets, Mazen Alush, communications director of the General Directorate of Land and Sea Borders in Syria, said.

Alush said that as a result of negotiations between Turkish and Syrian authorities, restrictions on the export of Syrian goods to Turkey have been lifted. It has also been possible to use Turkish territory for the transit of Syrian goods to foreign countries.

According to official data, in 2024, Turkey's exports to Syria amounted to $2.2 billion, while imports from Syria to Turkey reached $437 million.
