The US has carried out six strikes on Yemeni territory

The US Air Force carried out six airstrikes on residential areas in the northern Yemeni province of Saada, according to the Al-Masirah TV channel affiliated with the Ansar Allah movement.

The strikes reportedly targeted the Al-Salem settlement area in Saada's Sahlayn district. There was no immediate information on the number of casualties or injuries from the attacks.

Recall that on March 7, the Houthis gave Israel a four-day deadline to stop blocking humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, warning that otherwise they would resume military operations at sea.

Shortly thereafter, on March 15, US President Donald Trump announced on his Truth social media page that he had ordered US forces to launch a "large-scale military operation" against the Houthis.

In response, the leader of the movement, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, stated that US warplanes and warships would become legitimate targets for Yemenis.

Since then, the US has carried out more than a thousand airstrikes on Yemen, killing at least 217 people, most of them women and children, and injuring another 436 Yemenis.
