Yemen's Houthis have confirmed reports of an attack on a Maltese-flagged Greek cargo ship bound for Israel in the Red Sea, saying the ship did not respond to warning signals.
"The Yemeni Navy carried out a targeted operation using several anti-ship missiles against the Zografia ship, which was en route to the occupied Palestinian port, causing damage to the target," Houthi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sari told Al-Masirah. to the TV channel.
He explained that the attack was carried out after the ship's crew failed to respond to warning signals, including warning shots.
According to information, the ship with 24 crew members was carrying cargo from Vietnam to Israel. No one was injured in the incident.
