From August 10, the visa-free regime between Tajikistan and Iran will come into force. Citizens of the two countries with passports for going abroad will be able to visit without a visa for a period of 30 days within 90 days from the date of visa issuance.

From August 10, 2024, the Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Tajikistan and Iran on the cancellation of visas for holders of common foreign passports will enter into force. This is stated in the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.

Holders of exiting passports of the two countries can visit each other's territory without a visa for a period of 30 days within 90 days from the date of first entry.

In the first phase, the introduction of the visa-free system will be implemented only for those who use the Dushanbe-Tehran and Tehran-Dushanbe air routes.

It should be noted that in June, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced the introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of Tajikistan.
