Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara visited Latakia and Tartus provinces

Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara visited the provinces of Latakia and Tartus on February 16. The day before this visit, he had been to the provinces of Idlib and Aleppo.

President Sharani was welcomed by large crowds at Sheikh Zahir Square in Latakia and Governorate Square in Tartus. He then met with the governor of Latakia, the head of the political affairs department, and other senior officials in the region.

During the meeting, Shara stressed his commitment to promoting social peace across sects and ethnic groups. He also announced plans to help the poor, adjust wages, and encourage domestic investment.

President Shara also announced that the government will continue to fight against the efforts of groups affiliated with the Assad regime to destabilize the country.
