The scope and geography of student protests against the provision of military aid to Israel, which is wreaking havoc in Gaza, in the United States is expanding. At the moment, demonstrations are taking place not only in the USA, but also in prestigious universities in Europe. Azon Global took a brief look at the situation.

The arrest of 120 New York University students who participated in a protest against the massacre in Gaza has sparked new student protests across the country. At the moment, mass protests by students against support for Palestine and military aid to Israel are becoming more and more intense in leading US universities and colleges. Students from Yale, Texas, Columbia, Minnesota, California at Berkeley, Brown, Pittsburgh, Rochester, New York, Tufts, Michigan, Maryland, Southern California, Ohio, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, California Polytechnic Institute Humboldt, Emerson in Massachusetts, Swarthmore in Pennsylvania protested.

Demonstrations in the US have been harshly suppressed by police and security forces, with scores of students arrested and expelled.

At least 34 people were arrested by the police during demonstrations at the University of Texas in Austin, and at least 50 people at the University of Southern California. Texas State Police also brutally arrested a FOX 7 reporter named Carlos who was trying to cover the protests truthfully.

It is noted that the protest was called off at the request of Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the university administration.

Earlier, the governor of Texas threatened to jail all the participants of pro-Palestinian protests.

"The place of these protesters is the prison. Anti-Semitism is not allowed in Texas," Governor X wrote on the social network, saying that students participating in anti-Semitic demonstrations should be expelled from universities.

Students from Istanbul University and Sciences Po University in Paris demonstrated in support of the students in the USA and in solidarity with the people of Gaza. The Paris police forcefully disperses the students. Several of them were arrested.

And Google fired more than 50 employees after protests against Israel's participation in the Nimbus project.

"The corporation is trying to suppress dissent, silence employees and regain control over them," No Tech for Apartheid spokeswoman Jane Chan told The Washington Post.

The Nimbus project incorporates cloud technologies and machine learning systems to collect, store, analyze, target and signal, and predict potential data and targets. The system can collect all data sources provided by Israel and its military, including databases, resources, and even live surveillance sources such as street cameras and drone cameras.
