Relatives of Israelis captured by Hamas stormed the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, demanding that lawmakers do more to free Gaza prisoners.
Relatives of Israelis captured by Hamas stormed the West Jerusalem Parliament (Knesset) Finance Committee meeting, demanding that lawmakers take immediate steps to free their loved ones in the Palestinian enclave.
In the footage shared on the Internet, relatives of the prisoners can be seen shouting and holding placards, breaking through the guards into the parliament auditorium.
Many wore T-shirts that read "Bring Them (Prisoners) Back." Demonstrators demanded that lawmakers begin work on a new prisoner exchange deal with Hamas.
"If our children die, you will not sit here, " shouted one of the protesters.
According to the Israeli army, there are 136 Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip.
Relatives of the prisoners held a rally in front of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's house and demanded measures to release the prisoners.
They accuse the government of not ensuring public safety.
