PKK terrorist organization breaks promise: Clashes continue between security forces and militants in Syria
The PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) terrorist organization has launched a new provocation in Syria. The organization's militants have targeted civilians and the Syrian army in Aleppo. The terrorists, who attacked Syrian security forces with heavy weapons in the Sheikh Maqsud neighborhood, fired mortars around the Rahman mosque in the Suryan neighborhood. The attacks are said to be ongoing. It was reported that one Syrian army soldier was martyred and three were wounded in the clashes. Meanwhile, tribes in the Ras al-Ayn region have announced a mobilization against the PKK/YPG terrorist organization.
Syrian media reported that the terrorist organization bombed two neighborhoods.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced the redeployment of the army along the northern and northeastern front lines, and also declared its commitment to the March 10 agreement.
Speaking about the attacks by the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, Syrian Interior Ministry spokesman Nureddin al-Baba said that the militants are not adhering to the March 10 agreement and are doing everything they can to create tension in Syria.
Baba stated that the militants' entry into the Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsud neighborhoods was also due to the treachery of security personnel.
Baba also added that the Syrian army and internal security forces have redeployed at the entrances to the two neighborhoods and are protecting civilians.
