Pakistan announced that it had struck "terrorist targets" in Iran
Pakistan has struck "terrorist havens" located in Sistan and Baluchistan province, bordering Iran. This was stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
"This morning, Pakistan carried out a series of highly coordinated and well-targeted military strikes against terrorist strongholds in Iran's Sist and Balochistan provinces," the report said.
According to the agency, the operation, codenamed Marg Bar Sarmachar, was conducted based on available intelligence. As a result of the strikes, "a number of terrorists were destroyed", reported Pakistan TV IV .
The ministry said that during the last few years of contacts with the Iranian side, Islamabad was informed that it was "gravely concerned about the safe havens of Pakistani terrorists originating in the non-administered areas of Iran" . T IV added that Pakistan had provided information to Iran with concrete evidence of "the presence and activities of these terrorists" in the specified areas.
Iranian authorities, in turn, reported that three women and four children were killed as a result of a Pakistani missile attack on Iranian territory.
Earlier, Iran's Tasnim news agency reported that Iran attacked the camps of the Jaish al-Adl organization in Pakistan's Balochistan province with missiles and drones.
