More than 13,000 cases of cholera have been detected in Zimbabwe since February
According to the local press, the number of people infected with the cholera epidemic in Zimbabwe has reached 13,176.
In December, the epidemic increased due to the increase in domestic travel, and as a result, cholera was detected in 55 regions of the country, especially in the capital Xarare .
So far, 221 people have died from the epidemic.
Officials urge citizens to take precautionary measures against the cholera epidemic and pay attention to hygiene rules.

In 2008, more than 100,000 cholera cases were registered in the country, and at least 4,000 people died .
Zimbabwe is a country in southern Africa, with a population of 15.1 million in 2022. The country also has a high incidence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). In 2022, according to the Central Intelligence Agency, 11.6 percent of the country's adult population had this disease (the 6th highest infection rate in the world).
