Istanbul talks: What did Ukraine and Russia agree on?
Yesterday, June 2, during talks in Istanbul, Kiev and Moscow agreed to exchange seriously ill, wounded, and prisoners aged 18 to 25. This was announced by the head of the Ukrainian delegation, the country's Defense Minister Rustam Umerov.
According to it, the parties will exchange the bodies of the dead in a "6,000 for 6,000" format.
Umerov confirmed that the Russian side had submitted a memorandum to Kiev on the terms of ending the war. He noted that Ukraine had requested a week to study the document and decide on further steps.
The Defense Minister also said that the Ukrainian delegation has proposed to Russia to hold another meeting from June 20 to June 30.
At the same time, it was announced that after the meeting, a list of hundreds of Ukrainian children whose return was requested was also submitted to the Russian side.
