It was noted that the two men discussed the security situation on the border with Lebanon and the ways for displaced Israelis to return to their homes.

"We are ready to solve the problem with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon through diplomacy. But we are ready for other situations as well ," Gallant said .

The minister emphasized Israel's determination to improve the security situation on the border with Lebanon and eliminate the threat of attack from there.

Earlier, Gallant stated that even if a cease-fire agreement is reached in the Gaza Strip, clashes with the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon will continue.
