Earlier, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi proposed a two-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to exchange Israeli prisoners for some Palestinian prisoners.

Al-Sisi, who spoke at a news conference in Cairo alongside Algerian resident Abd u lmadjid Tabun , said talks should resume within 10 days of a temporary ceasefire for a permanent ceasefire.
