Islamophobia is on the rise in Australia

The number of Islamophobic crimes in Australia more than doubled between January 2023 and December 2024. Islamophobic incidents increased by 1,300 percent in just three weeks, with the start of the Israeli occupation's genocide in Palestine.

A total of 309 attacks against Muslims were recorded last year, 2.5 times more than in previous years. The number of online attacks tripled to 366. The main victims were women and teenage girls, with violence against them accounting for 75 percent of all attacks.

Women are more likely to be physically assaulted than men.

For example, in one case, a Muslim mother of five was beaten unconscious in a shopping mall. At the time, the Islamophobic terrorist reportedly threatened the woman, saying, "I will tear your headscarf off and rape you."
