Iran's plan to overthrow the Syrian government exposed

Syrian television, citing Turkish sources, reported an Iranian plan to eliminate President Ahmed al-Shar' and stage a coup.

The plot was reportedly discussed in the Iraqi city of Najaf and involved Iranian generals, former Syrian officers, and Shiite businessmen.

The plan includes supporting the PKK, ISIS, and Hezbollah, inciting conflicts, and coordinating attacks with the PKK.

Iran also seeks to foment chaos and international intervention by using PKK-controlled areas to infiltrate Shiite militants from Afghanistan and Pakistan into the country, the report said.
