Indonesia says it is ready to accept some Gaza residents

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has announced that the country is ready to temporarily host 1,000 wounded and orphaned children from the Gaza Strip.

According to the Jakarta Globe, Prabowo Subianto is currently traveling to the Middle East, where he is holding talks with regional leaders to resolve the crisis in Gaza.

Before boarding the plane, he told reporters that the Gazans were being evacuated and temporarily resettled in Indonesia. According to the president, 1,000 Gazans would be accommodated in the initial phase.

"We are ready to receive the wounded. We will soon send our Foreign Minister to discuss the evacuation process with the Palestinian government and relevant parties in the region," Prabowo Subianto said.

According to the source, Indonesia plans to use its own aircraft for the evacuation. However, Prabowo Subianto stressed that this process must be carried out with the consent of the relevant parties.

"The evacuees will only stay in Indonesia temporarily. They will return home once the situation in Gaza stabilizes," the President said.
