Indian general claims to have shot down at least 5 Pakistani jets

India shot down at least five Pakistani fighter jets during clashes in May, the Indian Air Force chief said.

He also added that India had "destroyed another major Pakistani military aircraft."

"Our air defense systems have worked brilliantly. Our recent purchase of the S-400 system has changed the rules of the game."

"It was a high-tech war. We inflicted a lot of damage on them during the 80-90-hour war. That's why the Pakistanis sent us a message to negotiate," the Indian general said.

However, so far, no evidence has emerged to support the Indian official's claims.
