In the UAE, three people were arrested on suspicion of murdering Rabbi Kogan

Three suspects in the murder of 28-year-old Israeli citizen Zvi Kogan have been arrested in the UAE. Earlier it was reported that these persons are citizens of Uzbekistan and fled to Turkey.

In the United Arab Emirates, three suspects were arrested in the murder of 28-year-old Israeli citizen Zvi Kogan, Reuters reports, citing the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates. No charges have yet been filed.

Kogan was a representative of the Jewish religious movement Chabad, a rabbi. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office declared the incident a "terrible act of anti-Semitic terrorism" and vowed to do everything in its power to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The office also confirmed that the Mossad intelligence service is involved in the investigation.

Kogon lived in the Emirates, where he was a Chabad ambassador. The rabbi became a resident of the Arab country after Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv normalized relations in late 2020 as part of the US-brokered Abraham Accords.

After the incident, Israel reissued an advisory to its citizens to avoid non-essential travel to the UAE and advised Israelis in the country to stay in safe areas and minimize movement.

Let's remind that earlier Israeli publications, relying on the Mossad intelligence service, reported that the rabbi was kidnapped and killed by 3 citizens of Uzbekistan. The rabbi served in the "Givati" brigade of the occupation army.
