A Muslim teenager was attacked with a knife while returning from a mosque in Scotland. The boy was taken to the hospital with injuries, the police are investigating and studying the recordings of the surrounding video cameras.

A Muslim teenager who was returning home from evening prayers in Scotland became the victim of a knife attack by an unknown criminal, the Metro newspaper reported.

A 13-year-old boy from a Pakistani Muslim family was stabbed on his way home from the Queen's Park mosque in Glasgow. At the time of the attack, the teenager was wearing traditional Muslim clothes, writes Arab News.

The boy was taken to the hospital, his condition is stable now, there is no serious threat to his life.

"The boy was seriously injured while running away and trying to save his life, he was stabbed in the back and all over his body. One deep cut involved a lung. When the passing family called the police and an ambulance, he was covered in blood. The boy is in the hospital, where several operations will be performed," Alisha Ntayomba, who is familiar with the boy's family, told the press.

Police Detective Stephen Palmer said law enforcement was investigating and reviewing CCTV footage from the area.
