How was Ramadan Eid celebrated around the world?

Muslim countries welcomed this year's Eid al-Fitr with great joy. Millions of people in different countries participated in Eid prayers and prayed for goodness and blessings.


For example, prayers were performed in the presence of state leaders in Afghanistan and Syria. At the Tokyo Central Mosque in Japan, prayers were performed for three consecutive days.


The holy month of Ramadan was also widely celebrated in Qatar, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Georgia, and the Iraqi Kurdistan region. Prayers were offered in mosques and charity events were held. In Palestine, Muslims prayed at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and prayed for peace and tranquility from the Creator.


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also congratulated the entire Muslim world on the occasion of the holiday.


According to Saudi Arabia, the two holy mosques in Mecca and Medina - Masjid al-Haram and Masjid al-Nabawi - received 122,286,712 Muslims during the month of Ramadan.


Also, 16,558,241 pilgrims performed Umrah during this period. While 75,573,928 Muslims prayed at the Grand Mosque, the figure was 30,154,543 at the Prophet's Mosque.


Saudi Arabia stressed that it has created all conditions for pilgrims during Ramadan and that the process of performing holy prayers is organized safely and in an orderly manner.
