Hamas responds to Trump's statement on Gaza control

On February 4, US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in Washington. During the meeting, Trump expressed his views on Gaza, saying that other countries should accept the residents of Gaza.

"Jordan and Egypt can't say no to me. They could say no to Biden, but not to me. For example, it happened with Mexico. Gaza will be completely controlled by the United States, and the Gazans will be expelled from the city," Trump said.

His statement was sharply criticized by the Palestinian Liberation Movement Hamas, which described Trump's words as violence and aggression against the people of Gaza.

"We remind Trump that 15 months of intense bombing by 80,000 tons of American bombs have not displaced the people of Gaza. We, the Palestinian people, will not allow any country in the world to occupy our lands or impose control over our people," the Hamas statement said.

Hamas also stressed that the Palestinians will not accept the plan to withdraw from Gaza, no matter how much it costs.
