Google will open an artificial intelligence center in Saudi Arabia

Google and Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund plan to open a new intelligence-focused data center in SA . In this center, it is expected to develop artificial intelligence models and applications in the Arabic language, which will be actively used in oil and natural gas production.

Tech giant Google is opening a new AI-focused data center in Saudi Arabia.

According to a statement released by Saudi Arabia's Sovereign Wealth Fund and Google, the new artificial intelligence Centered on Artificial Intelligence in Arabic   models and supports research on AI applications specific to Saudi Arabia.

The statement did not specify the details or objectives of these studies. However, it is estimated that the developments can be used in important sectors for the economy of Saudi Arabia, such as oil and natural gas production.

State oil company Aramco is already using artificial intelligence in its operations. It was reported that the use of artificial intelligence applications helped to increase production by 15% at one of the Aramso oil fields.

In recent years, Saudi Arabia has been trying to diversify its economy away from oil and natural gas. Investments in technology are key to these initiatives.
