Drones are replacing couriers in the UAE

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), large supermarkets and delivery services are planning to use drones instead of couriers.

In particular, in Dubai, the Lulu supermarket chain (which sells food, appliances, and household goods) has begun testing a drone delivery system. Other retail chains are also planning to use drones to deliver their products, but work has not yet begun.
However, permission must be obtained from the Ministry of Civil Aviation to use drones commercially.

Using drones instead of couriers will increase speed: even in traffic jams, there will be no problems with delivery. It will also reduce costs, the report says.

For your information, Keeta Drone (a Chinese company) is the first company in the UAE to receive a special license to remotely control drones. The company currently provides services in Dubai, with a delivery fee of 9.5 dirhams.
