Did the US deny visas to Thai officials because they handed over Uyghurs to China?

Previously, the US imposed sanctions on Thai officials for deporting 40 Uyghurs to China.

However, Thai Defense Minister Phumtam Vechayachai denied rumors that security personnel were unable to obtain visas from the United States following the Uyghurs' transfer to China .

According to him, there were no security service representatives in the country's delegation and they did not participate in the negotiations with Beijing.

The fact is that the return of Muslims, who are facing unprecedented suffering in China, has caused international outrage.

This followed the postponement of trade talks between Thailand and the United States, which were scheduled to begin in Washington on April 23.

Prime Minister Phaetongtarn Shinawatra stressed the need to resolve the "issues" raised by the US ahead of the talks.
