China asks the US to lift all tariffs

Beijing has called on the US to end the trade war and completely eliminate all tariffs.

China's Ministry of Commerce said in a statement that the reciprocal tariffs are increasing tensions between the world's two largest economies.

The call came after Donald Trump's decision to suspend tariffs for 90 days.

But tariffs on China have been raised to a record high of 145 percent.

The US announced temporary exemptions for electronic goods,

but Trump described this as "a transfer to another tariff category," not a permanent exemption.
