Britain to prosecute Palestine Action supporters
London police say at least 60 people will face trial for supporting Palestine Action, a movement banned in Britain that fights against the Israeli occupation.
More than 700 of the group's supporters have been arrested since it was designated a "terrorist group" in the kingdom, including 522 people arrested over the weekend on suspicion of membership.
Three activists were previously charged under terrorism laws for participating in the July protests - they now face prison sentences.
For your information, Palestine Action, founded in 2020, is known for its actions against companies that produce Israeli weapons used in the massacre of Palestinian civilians. Among them was the attack on the Elbit Systems factory in Bristol. After this, drone production at the factory was suspended.
