At least 20 people were killed and 30 others injured in an explosion at a railway station in southwestern Pakistan. The number of victims of the explosion may increase.
At least 20 people were killed and 30 injured in an explosion near the Quetta railway station in the Baluchistan region of southwestern Pakistan. According to the Geo News TV channel, the explosion occurred at the railway station box office before the train arrived at the platform.
"Given the usual crowd of people at the station, there is a high risk of an increase in the number of victims," the report said.
Police and rescuers reached the blast site, an emergency was declared at the Quetta hospital, and additional doctors and paramedics were called in.
It is noted that the train should leave for Peshawar at 9 o'clock in the morning.
