Assassination attempt on Ahmad al-Shar'a foiled
As a result of a joint operation by Syria and Turkey, the largest planned assassination attempt against Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharq was foiled.
Intelligence reports indicate that the assassination attempt on Syrian President Ahmed al-Shar'a was orchestrated by a senior ISIS member who is said to have had close ties to the Lebanese Hezbollah organization during the fall of the Assad regime.
The assassination was to be carried out in Daraa province.
This plan was exposed as a result of a joint operation by Syrian and Turkish counter-terrorism forces.
All militants, including the group's leader, are said to have been captured.
