A geopolitical dispute has begun for the Arctic

Putin described the US's attempts to establish control over Greenland as a serious approach, TRT Global reported.

According to him, while the Greenland issue is between the United States and Denmark, NATO's activity in the Arctic threatens Russia's security.

Moscow also takes seriously the fact that Finland and Sweden's accession to NATO strengthens the alliance's regional position.

"We are closely monitoring the situation, increasing military potential and modernizing infrastructure," Putin said.

According to analysts, the Arctic is becoming a center of competition between major powers for natural resources, strategic routes, and military superiority.
