Russia plans to raise taxes on migrants
The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia has submitted a proposal to the State Duma to levy a 30% income tax on migrants working with patents.
Party chairman Leonid Slutsky emphasized that this tax is low, saying that more money will go to the budget, which can be directed towards families with children and the development of regions.
According to him, in 2024, migration in Russia reached 568.5 thousand people - this is the highest figure since 1995. According to the leader of the LDPR, migrants should "leave more money" in Russia and it is necessary to introduce a general 30% income tax regime for them.
For your information, the current income tax rates levied on Russian citizens range from 13 to 22 percent.
