86 journalists were killed in the Gaza Strip
The number of media workers killed by Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip has reached 86, Anadolu reports , citing the press service of the Palestinian enclave government. Three of them were identified as women.
According to reports, on December 11, two more journalists were killed by Israeli airstrikes in the enclave.
"By killing Palestinian journalists, Israel aims to cover up Palestinian history and the truth," the report said.
The statement did not provide any information about the identity of the dead journalists.
Earlier, on December 1, the operator of Anadolu Agency, Muntasir al-Sawaf, was killed in bombings in Al-Durj area, south of Gaza. Al-Sawwaf lost almost his entire family after another Israeli air attack on November 18. The reporter himself was injured, but decided to continue the work.
"I will stay here. No matter what happens, I will continue to do my job until my last breath and send the footage taken in the Gaza Strip. What the invaders did to us does not prevent us from continuing our work, " he said .
Several hundred Palestinians are killed every day in Gaza, the total number of victims has already exceeded 18 thousand people. Most of them are women and children.
