More than 5 million pilgrims visited Masjid Nabawi in Medina on December 8-15.

An unprecedented number of 5 million Muslim pilgrims visited Masjid Nabawi in Madinah last week, GulfNews reported, citing data from the General Directorate of Nabawi Affairs.

According to the report, 5 million 119 thousand believers visited it on December 8-15. 501,938 of them managed to visit the graves of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Also, over 87,000 pilgrims used the services of translators in dozens of languages during one week. During the week, 13,584 people visited the library of the Prophet's Mosque, 4,783 believers visited museums and exhibitions on the territory of the shrine.

In addition, the government distributed 111,600 bottles of zamzam water to worshippers.

Also, 92,992 iftar tables were prepared and 42,125 gifts were distributed.
