Usman Baratov, head of the Uzbek society "Vatandosh" in Russia, was sentenced to four years in prison by the Stupinskiy city court of the Moscow region. He was found guilty of inciting enmity and hatred among the population (Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

It should be noted that the case against Baratov was opened in January on the personal instructions of Alexander Bastrykin, the head of the Russian Investigative Committee. In January, after the news about the increase in the price of eggs in Russia, he posted a photo of chickens on his social network "Odnoklassniki" page and left a comment with the content: "Return the roosters from the war for eggs."

On February 27 of this year, Usman Baratov was included in Rosfinmonitoring's list of extremists and terrorists.
