More than 57 million (+11.1%) tourists visited Turkey in 2023. The income from tourism amounted to 54.31 billion dollars (+16.9%).
The number of tourists visiting Turkey in 2023 was 56.7 million. This was stated in the report of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on the results of the last year.
According to the department, this is an increase of 11.1 percent compared to 2022.

Of these, 41.6 billion dollars are personal expenses of tourists, and 13.25 billion dollars are related to package tours.
" If we examine the number of visitors by country, among the top three countries, the Russian Federation took the first place with 6.3 million visitors, the second place was taken by Germany with 6.2 million people, and the third place was taken by visitors from England with 3.8 million tourists." , said Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmed Nuri Ersoy .
Per capita spending was $65 in 2017, $89 in 2022, and $99 in 2023.
Turkey expects 60 million tourists to come to the country in 2024, and the income of the tourism sector will increase to 60 million dollars.
