Heavy rains in Yemen have damaged 204 camps where 2 million internally displaced people live, and 6,500 families have been left homeless. They need food, shelter, clothing and hygiene products.

More than 6,000 families left the city of Marib due to heavy rains and floods in the central part of Yemen. This is stated in the report of the Department of Displaced Persons Camps of the Government of Yemen.

According to the report, the disaster affected 6,495 families in 204 refugee camps and displaced areas.

The department said people need food, shelter, clothing, hygiene products and durable tents.

More than 2 million of Yemen's 4.5 million internally displaced people have found refuge in Marib.

Civil war and humanitarian crisis in Yemen
