Europe has become the new center of pro-Palestine student protests
The protests that started at Columbia University in the USA in mid-April have spread all over the world. Students from around the world are gathering on their campuses to protest Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip, as well as to support the protests that began at Columbia University.
To date, more than 2,500 people have been arrested during the protests.

The continent of Europe has become the new center of student protests that started in mid-April at Columbia University in the United States and spread around the world.
The police intervened in the student protest in the US at the request of the university administration. To date, more than 2,500 people have been arrested during the protests.
Students from around the world are gathering on their campuses to protest Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip, as well as to support the protests that began at Columbia University.
University protests in European countries began to intensify after the Palestinian movement Hamas announced that it had endorsed a "ceasefire proposal", while Israel decided to continue its attacks in Rafah.
- Finland
A pro-Palestine demonstration took place at the University of Helsinki in Finland. The protesters said they would continue their protests as long as ties are not severed.
- Denmark
Students at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark set up a tent camp on campus in a show of solidarity with Palestine. In particular, students protested the dispersal of pro-Palestinian protesters who dismantled the Gaza Solidarity Camp on the campus of the University of Southern California.

The student protests have also affected leading universities in the UK. Protests continue at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Newcastle, Sheffield, Warwick, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, as well as at University College London (UCL).
In particular, about 50 students took part in demonstrations at the University of Newcastle and called on the leadership to "sever relations with Israel". British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also expressed his opinion about the ongoing protests in the country. "A minority group in universities affects the education and lives of other students," said the British Prime Minister.

At the conference of rectors of Spanish universities, a decision was made to "sever ties with Israeli educational institutions that do not protect peace."
"We are in favor of revising and, if necessary, suspending cooperation agreements with Israeli universities and research centers that do not support peace and respect for international humanitarian law," the Confederation said in a written statement.
In ongoing demonstrations at universities in Spain's Basque Country, Navarre, Aragon, Andalusia and Catalonia, students have been supported by professors and university administration. University protests in Spain began on April 29 at the University of Valencia.
- Switzerland
Student demonstrations organized in protest against Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with US and European universities continue at the Swiss universities of Geneva and Lausanne.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrations that started on May 2 at the University of Lausanne and on May 7 at the University of Geneva campus continue unabated. Hundreds of students and academics are participating in the demonstrations. During the demonstrations, university leaders are expected to boycott Israeli educational institutions and take a clear stand on the events in the Gaza Strip.
