Seven people died and 12 people went missing due to floods caused by heavy rains in Mashhad city of Razavi Khorasan province of Iran. This was reported by the head of the city's fire safety service, Hamidrizo Kafiniya, writes IRNA.

According to him, since Wednesday, May 15, fire service personnel continue to provide assistance to residents affected by the flood.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing, Kafiniya said.

Mohsin Zakiriyan, head of the Red Crescent Society of Khorasan Razavi region, clarified that 12 people are considered missing.
