A British survey found that Muslims donated an average of £708 ($880) in the past 12 months. Britons of other religions - 165 pounds ($205). Three out of four British Muslims have donated to the Palestinians in Gaza.

Blue State, an international consulting company, published a report on April 10 entitled "Charitable Behavior of British Muslims". A total of 2,010 people were interviewed for the study, of which 1,003 were Muslims.

According to the data, Muslims donated an average of £708 ($880) in the past 12 months, compared to £165 ($205) for Britons of other religions .

The survey found that 61 percent and 14 percent of Muslims donate zakat to charity and secular organizations, respectively. In addition, in 2023, 17 percent of Muslims volunteered, compared to the national average of 11 percent. Muslims are also actively involved in community organizations and fundraising events.

The report notes that 85 percent of Muslims gave charity internationally last year, compared to an average of 48 percent nationally.

Despite the economic crisis in the country, 49 percent of Muslims are ready to increase their charitable giving in the next 12 months.
