Direct flights on the Nukus - Istanbul - Nukus new route from the international airport are carried out by Airbus A320 Neo planes once a week - on Mondays.
"In order to increase the flow of tourists to the Republic of Karakalpakstan and create favorable conditions for providing them with quality service, direct flights of the national airline Uzbekistan Airways on the Nukus-Istanbul-Nukus route are being opened," the message says.
According to the committee, the first flight is scheduled for June 17.
